Laser hair removal:

Nearly all women and half of all men have unwanted hair. Does it feel like you spend half of your life in the bathroom dealing with hair removal products that provide only very temporary results?

There are two ways to remove hair. The first is a temporary solution where the hair’s root, called a follicle, is not destroyed or damaged. The hair will be removed by shaving (which leaves you with unpleasant stubbles), waxing (painful and messy), Electrolysis (long sessions of needles placed into your hair follicles), plucking or bleaching, but will re-grow at a later time.

The second type of hair removal that is long term or epilating by destroying or damaging the hair’s follicles enough to make hair re-growth nearly impossible to happen. This can be done with a laser. This is a permanent alternative that is fast, relatively painless and safe procedure.

The highly controlled pulses of laser light are designed to be absorbed by hair follicles lying below the surface of the skin. The absorbed light heats and destroys the hair follicles permanently, preventing regrowth from occurring and without damaging surrounding tissues. The hair grows in three different phases (anagen, catagen and telogen) during their life cycle at different periods of time. The hair is most vulnerable to laser at during the growing phase (anagen) which may occur after treatment, thus multiple treatments are required to assure the destruction of hair follicles.
