A Quick Look At How Laser Hair Removal Works
The process is very simple. The area to be treated is shaved so that all the laser’s energy is focused on the root of each hair follicle. Your certified laser technician will then direct the laser over the area to be treated. The laser beam targets the pigment located in the hair follicles (pigment is what gives hair its color…the darker the hair the easier the target). The laser beam will emit energy and destroy the root. It is as simple as that.

More Than One Treatment Will Be Necessary
The goal is to eliminate the root of each hair. Every hair goes through a growth cycle and the cycle where treatment is most effective is called “ anagen” .In the anagen stage the hair is attached to the root. Therefore because of this cycle of growth the treatments are cumulative. Your laser technician will be able to expand on this and give you some indication of the number of treatments that you may need. Usually the number of treatments depends on the hair colour and thickness, skin type, and your nationality , but most hair will disappear in 6-8 sessions.

There Are Very Few Limiting Factors In The Process Of Laser Hair Removal
The laser process is dependent on existing pigment in the hair. Upon your private consultation the Laser Technician will be able to evaluate the hair you wish to have treated.
Some medications, prescriptions or over the counter remedies, may cause increased levels of photosensitivity. If you are taking any medications or herbal preparations, be sure to let your Laser Technician know so that your treatments can be tailored to your specific needs.
