Laser Hair Removal

Excessive hair growth is the result of heredity, hormonal factors, and some medications. Commonly treated areas are the face, back, neck, legs, bikini line, chest and underarms. Any skin area can be treated with Laser Hair Removal except eyelids. Luminous Laser & Med Spa has designed a progressive system for the removal of unwanted hair that combines more than one method of treatment.

Laser Hair Removal treatment removes hair by targeting the pigment in the hair follicle itself. This treatment is highly effective but can only be used on hair with a significant level of pigment. Laser Hair Removal will work on hair within the black and brown spectrum of color. Unfortunately, white, blond, and strawberry hair colors contain too little melanin (color) to be effectively treated. Electrolysis is the only option for these hair colors.

Luminous Laser & Med Spa uses the Harmony Laser Hair Removal technology because of the effectiveness, comfort level, speed and accuracy of the laser. Groups of hair follicles are treated in rapidly successive pulses.
